Professional History
As an undergraduate, Dr. Brubaker studied health policy at Harvard University. She spent several years doing research on primary care policy at Brigham and Women's Hospital before attending Harvard Medical School. During medical school, she was drawn to the medical questions and family focus of pediatrics. She completed her residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital where she used her elective time to focus on primary care and outpatient medicine.
As the daughter of two teachers, I learned early on to value education. I believe that one of the most important aspects of my job as a pediatrician is supporting children and families in learning about their health and all of the things that impact it, so that they feel empowered to make the best choices for themselves and their futures.
